Help us Write our Future: The Shorthorn Turns 100
Supporting an independent press is more important than ever. Now, supporting the student newspaper that covers UTA is easier than ever. We’re challenging all former staff and our readers to fund the future of journalism as The Shorthorn enters its 100th year of publication.
Your donation will assist Shorthorn student employees with academic expenses, travel to conferences, with unpaid internships, and other networking opportunities. All money raised will directly benefit students who are practicing the craft as career preparation, and you’ll receive a special 100th anniversary keepsake as a reminder of your support for an historic student news organization.
Choose your amount from the list on the right, click the related button, and fill out your information. The gift amount you choose determines the keepsake you’ll receive.
If you would prefer to not receive the keepsake, please note that in your gift.
Tag your friends and former colleagues on social media to encourage them to join the challenge. You can tag us (@utashorthorn) and use #theshorthorn100.
Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram (@utashorthorn) to see your donation in action.
If you would like to learn how to assist with our Shorthorn Centennial Alumni Reunion or give in a different way, contact Student Publications Director, Beth Francesco at 817.272.3188 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Perk Items will be shipped from UTA on the 1st and 15th of each month beginning in December 2018.
